Week 7: Edge Effects

What Happens in Vegas...: Las Vegas, NV, 2.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1/60, f/3.2

Walk With Me Forever: Santa Monica, CA, 2.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1/100, f/2.8

This was fun for me considering I have taken a couple shots that I REALLY love in the last couple weeks. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do the border on the lights shots or on ANY of my shots...so I chose a couple of my others. I did the Double Fade Border on the "What Happens in Vegas" picture and the Flexible Vignette border on the "Walk With Me Forever" shot. I like the way the second one turned out better but it was fun doing both of them.

Nobel Peace Prize: Oslo, Norway, 9.07, Cannon PowerShot SD 630, 1/6, f/2.8

This was an interesting assignment for me. I didn't feel any creative juices flowing so it was a little rough. I like how most of these turned out. I like the 0 MPH picture. I was taking a picture of the speedometer and my finace started driving causing a little blur and I actually like the way it turned out. I also love the last picture. This was taken in Norway at the Nobel Peace Prize Museum. There was a room where all the recipients were displayed among lights. It's hard to describe...but these are some of the lights in that room.

Week 6: Panoramics/Photomerge

The photos blended pretty well. All I did was up-ed the saturation a little bit to make the colors a little more intense.
A little family emergency changed the location of my weekend from Utah to California which was a little much BUT, I got to go to the beach for about 30 minutes and took these pictures during that time. Good times!

Ice Dog: Tuesday, Rexburg, ID, Cannon PowerShot SD 630, f/3.2, 1/500

This assignment was kind of difficult for me because I’m not used to taking pictures on a daily basis. In the end, however, I really enjoyed it. Each of these pictures depict one of the major events of that day. One of my favorites is the “Ice Dog”. I found it by happenstance but was completely fascinated by it. The light just happened to be good at the moment and I was able to capture that picture.

Minor edits such as levels, color and contrast have been made to each of these photos.

Week: 5 A Photo A Day

I took the idea from the template Sister Esplin provided and made my own. The pictures are not in order of the days I took them which is why I didn't add the days with the pictures. I tried it out but didn't like the way it looked so the final product ended up without the days of the week.

Week 4: Portrait Enhancement

Fall time: Chicago, IL, 10.07, Cannon PowerShot SD 630, f/3.5, 1/60
I don't necessarily like the edited photo better than the original but wanted to see what it looked like if I changed the color. I wanted to make the leaves more bold which was accomplished by using the color replace. However, I don't like what it did to his skin color.

I HATE shopping: Idaho Falls, ID, 1.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 630, f/2.8, 1/60
I used the clone stamp tool to clean up some blemished on his face. I also changed the levels and adjusted the colors a little bit.
