Portrait-Bannack, MT, 3.10, Sony DSLR-A100, 1/400, f/3.5
Humorous ghost – Bannack, MT, 3.10, Sony DSLR-A100, 15.0, f/3.5

Spider web- Bannack, MT, 3.10, Sony DSLR-A100, 1/15, f/2.7

Truck-Bannack, MT, 3.10, Sony DSLR-A100, 1/320, f/3.5

Garage- Stranded in Dubois, ID, 3.10, Sony DSLR-A100, 1/125, f/5.6

Baby Carriage- Bannack, MT, 3.10, Sony DSLR-A100, 1/30, f/3.5

Portrait-I changed saturation. Added adjustment layer, erased over Elissa, and used overlay layer adjustment to add the sharp light from the curtains.

Humorous Ghost- Changed color levels, did vignette border, added text and flipped picture because she did the order backwards.

Spider Web- I used adjustment layer and added a Gaussian blur. Added an overlay on adjustment layer, erased the section over spider web so it would stand out more.

Truck- I raised the saturation, and added a Gaussian blur on the background so that the focus would be the truck and just the colors of the background would stand out rather than the shapes so as not to be a distraction.

Garage-I adjusted levels and saturation. Added adjustment layer and erased over the snow and plants so the colors of the garage would stand out more.

Baby Carriage- I changed saturation and levels. Blurred background and darkened the window a little because it was blown out.

Week 9: HDR

Colorful Truck- Bannack, MT, 3.10, Sony DSLR-A100, 1/640, 1/40, 1/15, f-?

I took the three photos and blended them together in Dynamic Photo. I then adjusted the colors and saturation until I got my desired outcome.

Week 8: Photolusion Blend

Hangin' Around: This was kind of fun for me to do. These pictures were taken in two of my favorite places on earth, Argentina and Chicago. I didn't have to do a lot of editing to the photos themselves. I adjusted the saturation and color a little in both. I used the lasso tool to cut myself out of the goal picture and placed that cutout in the outdoor theater picture. I then used the clone stamp tool to edit out the pole from the original and a little bit of my arms.

Goal: San Lorenzo, Argentina, 6.08, Cannon PowerShot SD 630, 1/100, f/2.8

Outdoor Theater: Chicago, IL, 8.09, Cannon PowerShot SD 630, 1/180, f/2.8

Week 8: Photolusion Straight

Ballerina Jason: Rexburg, ID, 3.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1/30, f/3.5

Puppet: Rexburg, ID, 3.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1/15, f/3.5

I've been struggling, once again, with the creative juices and the lack thereof. So, tonight at FHE I made my "family" play around and these are the two photos I ended up with. Jason was such a good sport and just stood there and danced around. He was pretending to be a ballerina in the first photo and a puppet in the second. I did do much to these photos. I added lines to make it look like a puppet.

Week 7: Edge Effects

What Happens in Vegas...: Las Vegas, NV, 2.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1/60, f/3.2

Walk With Me Forever: Santa Monica, CA, 2.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1/100, f/2.8

This was fun for me considering I have taken a couple shots that I REALLY love in the last couple weeks. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do the border on the lights shots or on ANY of my shots...so I chose a couple of my others. I did the Double Fade Border on the "What Happens in Vegas" picture and the Flexible Vignette border on the "Walk With Me Forever" shot. I like the way the second one turned out better but it was fun doing both of them.

Week 7: Night and Light

Purple Temple: Rexburg, ID, 2.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1.0, f/3.2

TV Rainbow: Rexburg, ID, 2.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1.0, f/3.2

0 MPH, Rexburg, ID, 2.10, Cannon PowerShot SD 780 IS, 1.0, f/3.2

Nobel Peace Prize: Oslo, Norway, 9.07, Cannon PowerShot SD 630, 1/6, f/2.8

This was an interesting assignment for me. I didn't feel any creative juices flowing so it was a little rough. I like how most of these turned out. I like the 0 MPH picture. I was taking a picture of the speedometer and my finace started driving causing a little blur and I actually like the way it turned out. I also love the last picture. This was taken in Norway at the Nobel Peace Prize Museum. There was a room where all the recipients were displayed among lights. It's hard to describe...but these are some of the lights in that room.

Week 6: Panoramics/Photomerge

The photos blended pretty well. All I did was up-ed the saturation a little bit to make the colors a little more intense.
A little family emergency changed the location of my weekend from Utah to California which was a little much BUT, I got to go to the beach for about 30 minutes and took these pictures during that time. Good times!
